I had to do it
You deserved the best
You stood head and shoulders
Above the rest.
Your life is ending
Way ahead of its time
How could I help you?
What cure could I find?
Will there be pain or suffering
Those are the questions I asked
Nothing will hurt you
Not even at the last
As you lay your head down
For that one final sleep
Your eyes say you need me
Here's my love to keep
Your eyes are softly closing
Your breathing has stopped
You're on your way to heaven
Please don't get lost
Some day I will see you
In the heavens above
Please don't forget me
I send you my love.
